Why Visibility Matters

Trans Day of Visibility is about celebrating the strength, resilience, and beauty of trans lives. While there are many challenges facing our community, this day is a reminder that we are here, we are seen, and we are worthy of joy. Visibility isn’t just about being acknowledged—it’s about being embraced, uplifted, and given the space to thrive.

This year, we’re taking a creative approach to visibility. Art is a powerful tool for self-expression, and this event invites participants to paint a self-portrait that reflects their authentic selves—or create something completely unique! Each painting will be combined into a larger community collage, which will be displayed at a local community center as a testament to our collective identity and creativity.

What to Expect at the Event

🖌️ Community Art Project – We’re providing all the paints and supplies you need to create something meaningful. No artistic experience required—just a willingness to express yourself.

🍽️ Brunch, Nibbles & Bites – Enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food and great company.

🍹 Mimosas & Bloody Mary Bar – For those 21+, sip on a drink while you paint and connect with friends, old and new.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All Ages Welcome! – Whether you bring a friend, a family member, or come solo, this is a space for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community and allies to celebrate and create together.
