Transgender Day of Remembrance 2025
Transgender Day of Remembrance 2025
The Glitter Foundation will unveil its eighth annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) Memorial on Saturday, November 15, 2025, on the plaza of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral (231 E 100 S) in downtown Salt Lake City. The installation will remain on display through November 29, 2025. This year marks a significant transition for the memorial, which has been displayed at the Salt Lake City and County Building for the past eight years.
To commemorate Transgender Day of Remembrance, the Glitter Foundation will host a ceremony and candlelight vigil on Wednesday, November 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Library Auditorium, followed by a procession to St. Mark’s Cathedral for the vigil. The event will feature readings of names, personal reflections, music, and moments of silence, creating a shared space for remembrance and solidarity. Both the memorial and the ceremony are free and open to the public. Community members, allies, and local organizations are encouraged to attend and show their support.
16th Annual Transgender Pool Party & BBQ!
Aptly placed in front of the National Gallery of Art, thousands made their way to read the stories of anti-trans violence that occured over the past year. This moving display was a visual reminder of the impact of anti-trans politics, and the dire need to continute fighting for trans acceptance, inclusion, and equality around the world.
World Pride marked 50 years of DC Pride celebrations. We presented 400 flags – each one a story – with an interactive heat-map fed by live data.
